A 20 year old GlenDronach, bottled exclusively for the UK! This one was distilled in October 1995 and set aside to age in a single Pedro Ximénez Sherry puncheon until November 2015, when it was bottled with an outturn of 735 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Soft smoke and lemon juice, cedar wood, apple peel, toasty oak, soft earth, date and walnut cake and a hint of freshly made espresso.
Palate: Golden Syrup, soft, juicy raisins, tangy oak notes, peach, cherry blossom, cocoa and honeydew melon.
Finish: Sherry tones lead the finish, with a hint of sulphur, chocolate, luscious fruit and pepper.

Glendronach 格蘭多納

從在蘇格蘭高地山丘邊的家,Glendronach 格蘭多納酒廠製作最好的雪莉單一麥芽威士忌已經擁有非常久的歷史了。James Allardice 在1826年創立了酒廠。格蘭多納在1960年被Willian Teacher & Sons買下。更在1966年的時候將酒廠的蒸餾器從兩個擴充到四個並且維持著傳統及手工的製作方法。1996年酒廠歇業,直到2008年重新再出發,由 三位合夥人Billy Walker, Geoff Bell & Wayne Keiswetter將格蘭多納從保樂力佳購入並且賦予酒廠新生命。
Glendronach 格蘭多納酒廠它是一間喜愛威士忌人士不喝不可的優質威士忌,Ballantine 及 Teachers重要基酒,煤碳直火加熱、木製發酵槽、平鋪式眝放倉庫、雪莉桶熟陳威士忌、不經冷凝也不添加焦糖,一切回歸傳統!堅持著獨立酒廠的傳統原 則,堅持做出高品質的威士忌而不是數量多的威士忌。但同時也給予更多的創造性、靈活性以及和客戶保有更親密的關係。

96 points Wine & Spirits  As it turns 15, this wine still has youthful notes of chamomile and meadow flowers. Its flavor intensity, a force of nature pitting those vibrant, sunny floral notes against a resonant limestone earth tone, is something that could only have been achieved through all those years in bottle. While the mousse is persistent and as fine as a mist, the flavors are vinous, suggesting you serve this wine as you would a Corton-Charlemagne: with something equally luscious and rich, like seared sea scallops over truffled mashed potatoes. 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate  The Salon 1999 Brut Le Mesnil – disgorged already in 2011 and dosed with a pretty typical six grams of residual sugar – displays faintly fusil and quarry dust notes as well as hickory nut, almond, walnut and toasted wheat piquancy on the nose. Polished and subtly creamy in texture yet brightly juicy with apple and lemon, this displays an uncanny sense of lift and refinement, perfectly complementing the honeysuckle and heliotrope perfume that waft inner-mouth. You could lose yourself in the ineffability of this wine’s floral diversity and in its resonantly nut and grain low tones. Hints of apple pip lend subtle additional piquancy on a long and at once soothing as well as stimulating finish, with suggestions of oyster liquor becoming prominent as the bottle stands open for a few minutes, and serving to milk the salivary glands for all that they are worth. 95 points Vinous  The 1999 Salon, tasted from magnum, is the first wine in which fresh, primary fruit flavors are replaced by more mature notes. Lemon oil, light honey and chamomile flesh out in a radiant, expressive Champagne loaded with class. Here it is the wine’s texture and breadth that impress above all else. The 1999 is a fabulous transition to the older wines in this tasting, as it is both youthful and complex. (AG)  (5/2014)

94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar  Bright yellow-gold. Deeply pitched, pungent aromas of candied lemon, pear skin, anise, buttered toast and smoky lees, with notes of ginger and white flowers adding lift. Densely packed yet vibrant, showing impressive power and clarity to its mineral-accented citrus and orchard fruit flavors. Expands on the finish but maintains its focus, picking up iodine and bitter lime notes that linger impressively. A more vibrant rendition of Salon than the 1997 version, but with a bit less concentration than the 1996. This should be a slow ager. (JR)  (11/2011)

94 points Wine Spectator  *Collectibles* There's a sense of finesse to this sleek, elegant Champagne, which has a creamy texture and seamlessly integrated structure, offering subtly layered flavors of ripe white peach, black raspberry fruit, lemon meringue pie, pickled ginger and blanched almond. Jancis Robinson  Current vintage. 2002 expected next April. Greenish tinge. Dense and vibrant on the nose. Very lifted and flirtatious though I'm not 100% certain I would put the correct price on it blind. Racy, wild flowers. A distinctive champagne.  (11/2013)

一個華人古代思想藝術,與代代相傳的釀造實力,藉由聞香及味蕾口感的挑戰,將兩種不同性質的高年分威士忌,冠上了左青衣、右花旦,兩張傳統戲劇的臉譜,巧妙安排下產生的火花,將在中秋佳節前夕亮相與大家見面。
也努力希望由這次機會,讓IB藝術顛覆大家原本對獨立裝瓶場的想法,除了酒質好,以及精選挑桶外,加上了由舊世代舞台劇場上,常使用的化妝箱為靈感,所製成的精品木盒,讓兩瓶佳釀可以安全,豪華,輕鬆帶去任何前往的地方。

奔賽是位於蘇格蘭斯貝賽區,奔賽流域上唯一的一間老酒場,該酒場世代傳承的家族事業在世界威士忌上站有一席之地,然而在蘇格蘭中,酒場跟酒場之間一直有著 相互換桶的習慣,但這間站有一席之地的老酒場,為了不讓別人擁有自己百分之(百)的(富)貴酒桶,於是在出廠時會將酒桶加入1%的格蘭菲迪,並取名為奔 賽。
口感:

當左【青衣】奔賽所帶給人的優雅清新,右【花旦】則是希望能帶給大家更厲害的味蕾衝擊而設計,於是精選了一款35年,由兩桶單一純麥威士忌進行融和,並取 最低年分35年標示,實質上是由一桶35年的重雪梨原酒桶,加上重雪梨40年以上,酒精濃度因時間的消逝,而不滿40%的老酒,在蘇格蘭未滿40%是不能 進行裝瓶,但該酒場所產出的老年分酒桶市場上是屬一數二的珍貴,尤其40多年甚至達到可標明【珍稀】的規格。
口感:
【花旦】重雪梨35年開瓶時的煞那間,飄逸出甜甜雪梨桶典型香氣,初聞可明顯感受到焦糖,及許多熱帶水果風氣,獨特豐富讓人記憶猶新,初嘗品飲,酒體紮實 油脂豐富,不甜膩舒服的口感滑過舌尖,賦予了亞洲人最喜歡的口感,層次豐富感受變化的多端,入喉後尾韻攏長,香氣芬芳,是一款高年份而且物超所值的酒款 阿。

Nose: Sherried peels, dates, custard and apple crumble. Pepper, cinnamon and barley malt.
Palate: Rich, fruity palate with notes of clean malt and buttery toffee. Gingernut biscuits and walnut loaf.
Finish: Good length with sweet spices and fruit.

Nose: Buttery and sweet with notes of tropical fruits, citrus, marmalade, toast and custard.
Palate: Spicy and tingling on the tongue with oak-led spices, vanilla, cinnamon and allspice, creamy pineapple and hints of coconut alongside toasted barley.
Finish: Good length with some oaky dryness and tropical fruit.

Glencadam 15 Bottling Note

The new release of Glencadam 15 year old, at a higher strength for extra character. This was released in 2008.

 


The Glencadam Distillery was founded in 1825,about 200 yards from Brechin Distillery.The first recorded owner is David Scott, who was proprietor from 1827 to 1837.The distillery changed hands a number of times between 1837 and 1891. Gilmour, Thompson & Company Limited purchased the distillery in 1891 and used some of the Glencadam product in their Royal Blend brand of blended whisky.The distillery, as with most others, reduced production during World War 2 owing to fuel and grain rationing.
Hiram Walker bought the distillery in 1954, they were bought by George Ballantine & Son Ltd two years later, and ownership of the distillery eventually passed to Allied Domecq through further consolidartion in the industry.Allied Domecq mothballed the distillery in 2000 before selling the distillery to the present owners, Angus Dundee plc in 2003. Angus Dundee also own the Tomintoul Distillery.
The present owners quickly resumed production and the product from the distillery is used in their own blended and vatted malt whisky products, as well as being sold to other blenders. As of July 2010 Glencadam Malt Whisky is available in a range of official bottlings aged 10 to 21 years, as a component of Ballantine's and Stewart's Cream of the Barley blended whiskies, Angus Dundee's own blended and vatted whiskies, and in a number of other blended brands. Independent bottlings are also readily available, both as single malt and as vatted malts.
In November 2008, Angus Dundee plc re-launched the Glencadam line with new packaging and added a new 10 year-old single malt. Then, in July 2010 the company added three new expressions: a 21-year-old, a 12-year-old finished in port wood, and a 14-year-old finished in an oloroso sherry cask.

格蘭卡登Glencadam酒廠 位於蘇格蘭高地HIGHLAND的古老村莊伯郡,也是Angus 地區唯一的一家釀酒廠。 始創於1825年,蒸餾釀酒在蘇格蘭正式合法後的一年後。Glencadam 威士忌酒廠每年生產1.5百萬升威士忌,最老的威士忌已經存放於橡木桶30年以上。

特別的水質那裡的泉水形狀非常特別,不同于水往下流,她是沿著15度的往上抛物線頑固地 逆流而上,柔軟的水質純淨清亮。這也造就了產品獨特的馥鬱芳香。泉水從紅色花崗岩土層流經過灌木地帶的泥炭層,因此帶有一股特有的泥炭芳香。更可貴的是, 這泉水能溶解能力超群,能較多的溶解大麥芽的蛋白質,提取更多的浸出物,賦予威士忌特有的韻味。當地的民眾因此把這純淨清亮的神選之水當作上天的厚愛,對 她溺愛之極進行精心而嚴格的保護。
